It’s Saturday and it’s almost Christmas so that means parties and more parties. If you are hosting one of these festive occasions this is a great drink to get your guests in the holiday spirit. Now, I know a lot of people don’t like eggnog, mostly because of the texture. But, if you mix store-bought eggnog (I mean who in the world has time to make their own eggnog??) with vodka and a few other yummy ingredients then you get the hint of eggnog without the thick calorie laden drink you are thinking of.
Egg Nog Martini
A delicious and festive holiday drink that is EASY to make and perfect for guests to serve themselves.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Eggnog
- 1 1/2 Cups Vodka
- 1 1/2 Cups Frangelico (Hazlenut liquor)
- 2-3 Tablespoons Ground cinnamon
- 2-3 Tablespoons Granulated sugar
- Grated nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
-
In a large pitcher combine eggnog, vodka and Frangelico. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
-
To prepare glasses, combine cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Wet the rims of the martini glasses and dip into the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Set aside until ready to serve.
-
Place a whole nutmeg and a microplane near the pitcher of eggnog and when the guests pour the drink into their glasses they can garish with a few scrapes of the nutmeg on top. Or you can set out a small bowl of pre-grated nutmeg
