A fancy way to serve green beans. Your family will love these! They look difficult to make, but once you get the hang of wrapping the bacon it will take you 10 minues to assemble this dish.
Preheat oven to 350°
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet cook bacon just until it starts to brown (about 2 minutes a side). You will want it still raw and pliable. Remove to a paper lined plate and let drain. Cut each piece of bacon in half.
In a small bowl whisk together melted butter, salt, brown sugar and garlic powder. Set aside.
Divind raw green beans into 16 equal portions, about 6 green beans in each bundle. Wrap one piece of bacon around the middle of each bundle. Place the bundles on the parchment lined baking sheet making sure the loose ends of the bacon are on the bottom of each bundle.
Spoon the butter mixture over each bundle.
Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until bacon is golden brown. Remove from oven and let stand for 5-7 minutes.
The recipe will create al dente green beans (they will be cooked but will have a bit of a bite to them). If you like your green beans well done then blanch the beans in salted water for 2-3 minutes.
